Sandra D's Italian Garden

Delicious food. We had the Carbonara a wonderful chicken alfredo type dish and the Pollo Gorgonzola a salad with a variety of great flavors. Stop and meet Sandra and Bentley the husband and wife team who makes this place click. Staying in Hamilton, about 30 minutes north, we found the place online. I mean what restaurants ever achieve a 4.8 rating on any review system. If you like Italian and you are within an hour of this place you must stop.

Food was excellent, nice variety and atmosphere and very friendly staff.

I've lived in Dekalb County all my life but just got around to going to Sandra D's. It can be kind of hard to get in because of limited seating (especially with COVID), but it's well worth it. We tried their meatballs, sauteed veggies and asparagus soup, but that alfredo sauce. I swear there's a whole stick of butter in it. It's sooooo good. The cook (who is also one of the owners) came out and asked me how I wanted my veggies prepared and came back several other times to chat and tell us about their charity fundraising soup dinners they do on Tuesdays (I think). So overall, good food, good service, and a good cause. What more could you want?
